The Toledo Beach Volleyball Club started in 2003 and was then called the Toledo Beach Volleyball Association. Our vision has always been to grow the sport of Beach Volleyball. We started on 4 meager sand courts behind a bar in Sylvania, Ohio and in 2004 moved to International Park. We started running youth leagues in 2005 and officially started training athletes in 2009, so we changed from an Association to a Club. Starting our 2014 Sand season we look toward another change in our sport with USAV Beach and the OVR separating sand divisions into Club and Open, which we believe to be a great move. It will allow the athlete that are cross training for indoor volleyball and the athlete who want to excel at sand volleyball to have their own divisions and goals while keeping both groups competitive. We would like to thank those that have supported us over the years and invite all of you to come see what we have to offer. We are positive we have a program that will fit your goals.
Through hosting competitive, organized events for all ages while promoting encouragement and training, we are able to engage our community and teach, support and celebrate our athletes in their quest for excellence while instilling a work ethic that is based upon respect, leadership, and accountability.
Our #1 Goal is to grow the game of Beach Volleyball. Our #2 goal is to produce an environment that gives our junior participants an opportunity to realize their goals. Whether it is to cross train to benefit their indoor game, grow their skill set, attain a collegiate scholarship, or introduce them into our healthy lifestyle sport.
The TBVC was founded to facilitate the administration of Beach Volleyball in Toledo and surrounding areas with our focus on growing the game of beach volleyball through training and the introduction of Junior Leagues, Tournaments and Clinics.
