We welcome you to join us as we honor those who have served to preserve our freedom. With their sacrifice, we would not afford the freedoms that we enjoy today. Help us welcome summer and the amazing opportunity to play beach volleyball! 5 Divisions will compete in a pool play to single elimination tournament to crown our 2022 Memorial Day beach Volleyball champions!

All divisions are doubles (2v2) with the exception of the 6th grade and under division, witch are allowed up to 4 players on the court, but they may play with less. (6th grade and under may have up to 8 players on there team)

This event is open to any athete that wants to play, regardless of where they play or club affiliation. Form your own teams.

Entry fee is $60/team 2's and $80/team 6th grade ans under 4's. (6th grade and under division can be girls, boys, or coed)

Saturday 5/28 – 48 teams max – 5 Divisions

17/18U Girls and Boys Division and 6th Grade and Under Division (24 teams max)

Check in Time – 9:00am – 9:40am Players & Coaches meeting – 9:45am

Parents meeting – 9:55am

Official warm up clock starts at 10:00am

Play starts at 10:10am SHARP!

Saturday 5/28 - 13/14U & 15/16U (24 teams max)

Format: Pool play followed by Single Elimination Playoffs. Divisions may be combined, but separated for playoffs. There will be a Gold and Silver Playoffs if there are enough teams that register. 10 minute first game warm up only, 2 minute warm up before each match.(You will be guaranteed at least 4 sets) Amount of sets/points played will be determined by the number of participants. The more teams entered, the more points you will receive.

Tournament Rules

We will use USAV Junior Beach Rules 2022

You may not open hand tip or throw

Block touch counts as one of your teams 3 contacts

Substitues must sub in/out on your serve. Double contacts are not allowed during the first contact unless judged attacked ball.

Must maintain Serves order, but do not have to rotate positions

NO substitutes allowed (execption is granted for U10)

AVP OPTIX Beach Volleyball will be used and Game Balls will be provided. 1 (60 sec) time out allowed per team, per set.Contact with any part of the net is a net violation; Beach Coaching rules are in effect. ALL coaches must check in Facility Rules - 2345 W. Dean Rd. Temperance, MI 48182

No outside food or drink allowed into the facility. You may bring in chairs, tents, beach umbrella’s, blankets, towels. Please dress for weather. Teams are encouraged to match. We do not have a permanent structure and shade is limited so bring your own!

Entry Fee: Once you complete this page, your team has been entered into the tournament. (Even if you do not complete payment.) Payment can be made on this site or can be made by check/cash/crypt. Just contact the Tournament Director listed above if you would like to arrange team entry fee off line.

Registration will close Thursday 6/16 at 9pm. Pools will be posted Friday June 17th at noon. This is an adult Beach Volleyball Tournament. Juniors are allowed and encouraged to signup and play.

Women's Queen of the Beach and Men’s King of the Beach will start promptly at 6:00pm

Prizes for Top Finishers in each Division. Please remember this is a charity event.

Format:

QOB & KOB format - 2 rounds of pool play, top 8 players advance. Top 2 players off each net to semi finals, Top 2 players off each semi final net advance to Final court. Most points win. Sudden death rules apply in final. 10 minute first game warm up only, 5 minute warm up before each match.(You will be guaranteed at least 6 sets) NO Peppering on the court. After 1st round, no more than 2 warmup swings per person. Amount of sets/points played will be determined by the number of participants. The more teams entered, the more points you will receive.

Rules:

Wilson OPTX Beach Volleyballs will be used and Game Balls will be provided. We will use all of USA Volleyball’s Beach volleyball rules; 1 (60 sec) time out allowed per team; contact with any part of the net is a net violation; A block counts as 1 of your team’s 3 contacts; After a simultaneous joust, 3 more contacts are allowed; No open hand tips, no open hand serve receive; Please promote clean handsets.

Facility Rules – TBVC Home courts are located at Forest View Recreation 2345 W. Dean Rd. Temperance, MI 48182

You may bring chairs,, blankets, towels, and personal hydration equipment. NO coolers. No outside alcohol. No outside food. Resteruant will be open. 100% of all food and drink revenue from FVL, on the Longest Day event will go to The Longest Day, Alzheimer’s Association.

We are hosting an ALL DAY beach volleyball event in support of the Kirsten Hagland Foundation! KHF, helps facilitate information, direction, and recourses to help those struggling with eating disorders. ED is a very real and serious disease that is prevalent in the athletic community. KHF will have special guest speakers at 1pm as well as representatives to help provide guidance and answer any questions you may have.

We are offering 8 Divisions! There is something for everyone!

Please pay attention to your divisions start times. Check in times for each division will open up 1 hour prior to your start time.

Here is a list of our volleyball opportunities. Please note start times! You may play in multiple divisions! So you could play in the 9am Girls 14U doubles tournament and then play with some other friends in the Youth Coed 4’s Division that starts at 6pm.
